JAIL: The Ultimate "Time Out"
Have you ever been placed on Time-Out? Have your parents ever placed you on punishment and forced you to spend the weekend in your room with no telephone and no tv?
Well multiply that exponentially -- then add a stranger for a roommate -- and you've got the essence of jail.
For a moment, lets remove the fact that inmates are incarcerated for breaking the law and imagine yourself grounded for the weekend. What did you do? Think about why you were on punishment? Think about all the things you could be doing? Contemplate what you'll do next when you were allowed outside again?
They are no different.
Kru Klub's mission is simple: Offer inmates mentoring and literature that they can relate to, subliminally supply them with constructive information veiled as entertainment, and ultimately change their perceptions about life while they are in a situation where it's most obvious to them that they need to change their lives. We truly believe that if we can change their perceptions then we can change their behavior; and that a new viewpoint on society may prevent them from repeating crimes upon their release.

Inmate Book Clubs
Kru Klub's objective is to organize Inmate Book Clubs in penal institutions and recommend books that they can relate to, while mediating those clubs to expound on the morals of those stories with the inmates.
We also network and collaborate with several other organizations to provide reintegration, career training, and employment opportunities to inmates upon their release.
